Eutrophication, contaminants, litter and climate change: Baltic Sea under threat

Popis:	The Baltic Sea is still impacted by numerous pressures. More efforts are needed to reduce them for achieving healthy and resilient marine ecosystems and their sustainable uses. This can only be reached through the cooperation of Baltic Sea states and strong regional governance. The HELCOM Baltic Sea Action Plan 2021 is the promising instrument to implement these efforts for the Baltic Sea and to advance the global objectives of marine protection.
