Popis: | Untreated alcohol and drug addiction continues to be a major health issue in the United States. To meet the challenges of this chronic illness, treatment should be based in the best, most up-to-date science. Treatment retention and completion have been continually shown to significantly improve health and wellness outcomes. Unfortunately, most individuals who enter programs do not successfully complete them. The goal of this study is to use evidence mapping to define the best evidence-based practices and strategies to improve retention rates within addiction services and to present recommendations. |
