An efficient nonlinear analysis of RC sections

Popis: An efficient incremental-iterative analysis algorithm using the secant stiffness approach is developed, considering carefully investigated material models, for the direct prediction of the complete monotonic response of RC rectangular sections together with the relevant flexural and axial rigidities throughout this response. The algorithm can easily be incorporated into a nonlinear frame analysis scheme. Two examples are presented in which the results are compared with experimental and analytical data to verify the applicability, versatility and efficiency of the algorithm suggested.
