In Reply .—We wish to clarify some of Dr Stickler's misunderstandings about our article, but before we do we would like to reassure Dr Stickler that our article provides accurate and reliable data. The staff chosen to conduct the 24-hour dietary recall has over 30 years of combined experience in nutrition survey research. One of us (A.S.R.) supervised the interviewing process on-site and was available to answer any questions. Moreover, we conducted a stringent and protracted pilot test with our interviewers who were ultimately selected for the main study on the basis of their performance during this test.
