Popis: | In order to extend basic research on the current distribution characteristics of a low-temperature superconductor (LTS) and a high-temperature superconductor (HTS) hybrid superconductor, and to explore its potential applications, an LTS/HTS hybrid superconductor made of NbTi/Cu tape and YBCO/Ag tape was numerically and experimentally studied in this paper. The current distribution was numerically analyzed based on the n power-law model. Current distribution of the short sample has been experimentally and numerically performed with different operating currents and temperatures. Simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones. This type of hybrid superconductor has better stability and has thus some potential applications in cryocooler-cooled and large-scale magnets. |
