Exogoninae (Polychaeta: Syllidae) from the Belizean barrier reef with a key to species ofSphaerosyllis

Popis:	Twelve species of the syllid subfamily Exogoninae belonging to the genera Brania, Exogone, Plakosyllis, and Sphaerosyllis are newly recorded from Twin Cays, Belize. All material was collected from benthic mangrove, algal and seagrass habitats. Descriptions with illustrations are provided for eight species. The descriptions of the holotype of Exogone lourei Berkeley and Berkeley, 1938; E. occidentalis Westheide, 1974, and Sphaerosyllis bilobata Perkins, 1981, are emended. A key to all species of Sphaerosyllis known from Belize is provided.
