Current Directions of Application of Mobile Technologies in the Scientific and Educational Process

Popis: Purpose: The purpose of the article is to determine the current directions of application of mobile technologies in the scientific and educational process for the purpose of its modernization by the example of modern Russia. Methodology: The information and empirical basis of the research includes statistical and analytical materials of such international organizations as the World Bank, IMD and the World Economic Forum for 2018. For determining the perspectives of application of mobile technologies in the scientific and educational process, the methods of structural and functional analysis, analysis of causal connections (logical analysis), and formalization (graphic presentation of obtained conclusions and recommendations) are used. Results: It is substantiated that mobile technologies can accelerate digital modernization of the system of science and education, thus stimulating the growth of its global competitiveness, formation of digital economy, and establishment of knowledge economy. The current directions of application of mobile technologies in the scientific and educational process for the purpose of its modernization are mobile (remote) education, mobile (online) scientific communications, mobile (electronic) marketing in education, and mobile data bases of scientific and educational data. Recommendations: The obtained results and conclusions are to draw attention of the state to mobile technologies as a tool of digitization of the system of science and education, adopted as a top-priority direction of modernization of modern Russia’s economy.
