Estimation of accuracy in forming construction steels by the HiFocus technology of high-precision plasma cutting

Popis: The paper is devoted to estimating the cut accuracy of metallic sheet materials by the HiFocus technology of high-precision plasma cutting. The experiments showed that in cutting structural low-carbon steel in the thickness range of less than 5 mm the values of cut accuracy and its width declared by the producer are not achieved. The attempt to improve the accuracy of sheet cutting at the expense of changing the cutting speed was unsuccessful. Research for providing cut accuracy in the range of small thicknesses of the processed material by the HiFocus plus technology is suggested.
