Popis: 1. The basicity of flavone, its 5- and 4′-methoxy, and its 7- and 4′-hydroxy derivatives changes synonymously with the change in the energy of the π-electron system during protonation. 2. The dihydroxy derivatives (with the exception of 3,5-hydroxyflavone), and also 3-hydroxy- and 3-methoxyflavone, form an intrinsic family of points that are linked by a similar relationship. 3. The existence of a relationship between the basicity of the compounds and the calculated π-electron density on the oxygen of the carbonyl group was not detected.
