| Popis: | One of the most important keys to significant gains in programmer productivity is the development and use of reusable software. The possibility of reusable software is claimed as one of the potential strengths of the Ada language because the Ada package concept is an excellent mechanism for the development of reusable software. This research project addresses the problem of providing tools for the storage and retrieval of Reusable Software Components (RSCs) which consist of Ada packages and procedures, especially applicable to the domain of Management Information Systems (MIS). In this paper we review issues concerning software reusability, including functional specifications, and a particular method of storage and retrieval of the software packages, the Faceted Classification Scheme, which we are implementing. |
