Popis: | The 57Fe Mossbauer spectra of a 3:1 thiourea ferrocene clathrate show an unusual temperature-dependent relaxation of the electric field gradient tensor. This is caused by anisotropic reorientation of the ferrocene molecules in the channels of the clathrate lattice. The theoretical equations appropriate to anisotropic relaxation have been developed and allow a full interpretation of the data. |
