Popis: Metamaterials are artificial structures that their constituent electromagnetic materials can be regulated by manipulating their structures. The unconventional properties of these materials such as permittivity and permeability coefficient and also the negative refractive index, have caused to Increase using the metamaterials in various fields such as microwave engineering. Metamaterial antennas are some kind of antennas that use metamaterials to increase the performance of small antenna systems (small electrical ones) as well as improve the radiation power of the antenna. In this paper, a microstrip antenna is designed using CST software at x-band applications and, then, improving the antenna performance like radiation pattern and directivity is demonstrated by utilization a specific metamaterial coverage.
