Popis: | The investigations of the properties of ultradispersed systems---a new class of materials which contain a microscopic composition of particles less than 0.1 micrometers in size---makes it possible to solve a number of problems which cannot be solved by traditional means. In contrast to the well-known Bormann effect in crystalline samples, when the Wolf-Bragg relation between the wavelength and the interplanar distance is satisfied, x-ray transmission increases, and in the case where ultradispersed systems are irradiated, both an anomalous increase and decrease of x-ray transmission are observed. In this paper, we present some experimental results that indicate an anomalous interaction of the x-rays with ultradispersed systems and the prospects for practical applications of such materials are discussed. |
