Popis:	Theoretical and experimental investigations of new mechatronic scanners based on electrically excited optic fiber vibrators have been conducted. A comparison with other types of optic fiber vibrators (excited by piezoelectric elements or magnetic fields) has been carried out. Various applications of such vibrators in read and recognition devices, signal and image converters, display and recording units are given. Prospects of further research and development of such scanners have been discussed.
