Popis:	Direct observations of cavitation in liquid films separating two rotating rollers are reported. The speed of rotation and separation of the rollers at which cavitation sets in is consistent with hydrodynamical theory. The onset of cavitation is sharp at a rarefaction of about 2 atm for castor and paraffin oils.
