Popis: | Incorporation of samples into KBr by lyophilization can be extended to include -water insoluble steroids by dissolving them in a suitable organic solvent, dispersing the organic phase in aqueous potassium bromide, and freezing the suspension. The frozen suspension is lyophilized without permitting melting to occur. Data showing substantially quantitative Incorporation of hydrocortisone and hydrocortisone acetate are presented. Good infrared spectra have been obtained starting with as little as 3.3 micrograms of hydrocortisone and 1.0 mg of potassium bromide. |
