Popis: Managed by the Edmonton Social Planning Council (ESPC), threeSOURCE (www.threesource.ca) is a digital repository of grey literature on Alberta's non-profit sector, social issues in the province and related topics. During a series of ESPC consultations with social service sector employees in Edmonton, we learned that the sector wanted greater access to research and best practices in their field to help them make informed decisions in their organization and design programs and services that support their clientele. threeSOURCE was designed to address this information need. threeSOURCE is regularly updated by the organization's Resource Coordinator, who reviews and selects current and authoritative research publications on Alberta's non-profit sector, local social issues and related topics and catalogues them in the database. threeSOURCE is supported by the cataloguing program DB/Text Works and the content management system Umbraco. In addition to the social services sector, threeSOURCE is used regularly by universities, health authorities, and municipal, provincial and federal governments to gather research.
