Popis: | 26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 766-769 Within the EU funded project NACIR a concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) stand-alone system is developed to provide electric power for water pumping, desalination and irrigation application. An energy management system (EMS) is developed for a direct use of solar energy by the loads. Thus the system requires only small sized battery storage to secure power supply only for measurement and control equipment as well as for the motors of the trackers to orientate them in the morning or after a cloudy period during the day. For control and an easy expansion of the system all components communicate via the standardized CANopen protocol. The first part of this paper provides a description of the system layout and the developed EMS. The second part shows simulation results of an optimized operating control strategy by transferring a solution of the packing problem from applied economics to off grid systems. In the third part first field results of the 30 kWp CPV plant, installed at the test site of the water research centre Wadi Al Netroun in Egypt, are presented. |
