Popis: The rail accidents here in India mainly happen due to occurrence of cracks in the tracks and the accidents increasing day by day. This paper suggests a feasible and effective solution to the problem of cracks occurring in rail tracks utilizing UV rays which detects the location of faulty tracks which helps in taking actions immediately so that many lives will be saved and avoid a railway accident. This project is implemented using Global system for mobile communication and Global positioning system receiver. Here UV rays are used to find the crack in the track, whenever crack is detected GPS receiver receives the location information. This information of detection of the crack is sent to the appropriate railway authorities by using the GSM.
