Popis: Autoimmune blistering diseases are a heterogeneous group of diseases that result from autoantibodies generated against target antigens found in the skin and mucous membranes. Blistering diseases in children and adolescents pose difficult diagnostic and management challenges. Although rare, their morbidity and mortality necessitate understanding of their clinical presentation, natural history, sequelae, and management. Shared by blister formation, the number of entities is large and varies in presentation, clinical course, histopathology, and treatment. Here, we will briefly outline the salient feature of each diseases and then focus on the most important therapeutic armamentarium in treating these diseases highlighting important therapeutic controversies.
