Popis:	Celiac disease may have different manifestations and the clinical course can be very heterogeneous. Thus, management and treatment of celiac disease can be difficult and therefore requires individual patient care. In this article an expert group from the German Society for Celiac Disease (Deutsche Zoliakie-Gesellschaft) defines the different manifestations of celiac disease. In the past these definitions were often used differently. The consequent usage of these definitions may diminish uncertainties in clinical practice and lead to a more standardized management of the disease which is likely to improve patient care.
