Popis: | Enzymatic synthesis of the polyaniline (PANI)/sodium polystyrenesulfonate (PSS) interpolyelectrolyte complex, in which PANI is doped with Cu(II) ions, has been developed. The biocatalyst for aniline (ANI) polymerization was the fungal laccase Trametes hirsuta and the oxidizing agent was atmospheric oxygen. The resulting PANI-Cu/PSS complex was studied by UV–visible and FTIR-ATR spectroscopy, and X-ray fluorescence analysis. The copper content in PANI‑Cu/PSS was ~8 wt %. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the PANI-Cu/PSS complex against gram-negative (Escherichia coli) and gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria was 2.65 and 0.66 mg/mL, respectively. |
