Popis:	A high performance closed‐drift Hall‐type thruster has been developed and tested at the Research Institute for Thermal Processes (NIITP) in Moscow, Russia. More than 20 and less than 100 of these thruster units have been placed into orbital operation without a failure. The thruster has been demonstrated to have a specific impulse in the range from 1500‐3000 seconds at 50 to 70 percent efficiency. It can endure thousands of hours of operation and the start‐stop cycle capability numbers in the 100’s to 1000’s depending upon design. These thrusters are now commercially available through International Scientific Products (contact Space Power, Inc.).
