Popis: | Summary The mite, Liponyssus bacoti, and the flea, Polygenis gwyni, were found to be the most common blood-sucking ectoparasites of cotton rats in Florida. Murine typhus transmission experiments with L. bacoti indicated that it was only a relatively ineffective vector of murine typhus, while P. gwyni did not transmit at all. |
