Popis: | 23rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, 1-5 September 2008, Valencia, Spain; 3811-3814 Now-a-days, sustainable energy issues are mainly addressed to the universities and research centers. On the other hand, applied research is implementing fast in companies and the labor market is expanding, needing trained people, at different education levels, with mentality, knowledge and skills shaped on sustainable processes and products. There is a logical link among the portfolio of skills of the high school graduates and the level of academic training; fast progress requires the re-orientation of the high school curricula according to the demands. This is the reason why teacher education centers had recognized both the need for education on sustainable energy and had welcomed this topic as part of the education strategy via cross-curricular subjects. This is the reason why, a transnational partnership developed a Socrates-Comenius 2.1. project, supporting in-service training on sustainable energy, at European level. The paper presents the development of the SEE EU-Tool project, which develops the frame and the instruments for training the teachers to implement the basic concepts of sustainable energy, especially renewable energy systems, at high school level. |
