Popis: | Cyberattacks on healthcare information systems have become more frequent in the last few years. The consequences of a cyberattack are not only the collapse of the system and financial damage, but also a direct threat to the health and lives of patients. The paper examines the basic forms of computercrime and cyberattacks with a focus on data theft in the health care system as a special form of criminal activity in which confidential personal data is obtained illegally in order to commit new criminal acts. The basic methods and techniques of stealing health data from end users of the internet, from personal computers and from large databases and the use of stolen data to commit criminal acts will be presented in the paper. A large number of cyber incidents in healthcare systems around the world were reviewed and analyzed with a focus on the period during the COVID19 pandemic The study aimed to identify the major topics and concerns present in today's hospital cybersecurity field, intended for non-cyber professionals working in hospital settings. In recent years, the international community has based its work in the field of regulating this issue on diplomatic crisis resolution, on international legal regulations and conventions, as well as on raising awareness when it comes to the security of health systems. The problems with cyber attacks are a global problem and the solution must be global, as well. |
