Popis: | The article reveals the peculiarities of the use of multimedia presentations as a means of improving the quality of cadets’ knowledge during studying the disciplines “History of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture”, “Ukrainian language for professional purposes” and “Modern communication”. It was found out that the current stage of educational development is characterized by the widespread introduction of computer technology in the educational process, which allows to reach a new level of education, opens previously unknown opportunities for both teachers and cadets, to increase the amount of visual information. The authors interpret a multimedia presentation as a program that can contain text, photos, pictures, slide shows, sound design, narration, video and animation, three-dimensional graphics. Multimedia presentation provides unique opportunities for intensification of the learning process, as well as the creation of methods focused on the development of the cadet’s personality. First of all, there is a quick feedback between the teacher and the cadets; computer visualization of educational information about objects or patterns of historical processes, phenomena of cultural life; transfer of fairly large amounts of information presented in various forms, etc.The requirements for interactive software and methodological support for teaching these disciplines, the specifics of the use of multimedia tools for the development of complexes of educational and methodological materials, the ratio of multimedia effects and plain text, limits of applicability of multimedia inserts are been thoroughly revealed. Based on the practice of using text slides in classes on the subjects “History of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture”, “Ukrainian language for professional purposes” identified requirements for the structure and content of educational material presented on the slides.The peculiarities of determining the content and design of text and illustrative slides, as well as color and multimedia design as an important means of organizing the perception of information material are been highlighted in detail. The advice of psychologists and designers on the perception of colors, the color influence on the cognitive activity of listeners, on the combination of colors, the optimal number of colors on the screen, etc. are been outlined.In addition to text and illustrative slides, the possibilities of using fragments of videos to visualize the learning process are considered. It has been proposed to use multidimensional composition, animation, videos about the construction of Kiev (history of St. Andrew’s Church, St. Mary’s Palace, St. Vladimir’s University, etc.), development of education in Ukraine (formation of Ostroh Academy, printing, etc.), painting in Ukraine (Museums of Fine Arts) art in Kyiv and Lviv). The requirements for the use of video clips in terms of time, pace, providing feedback to cadets, accompanying questions are been described.The authors argue that the use of multimedia presentations can improve the presentation of educational material in higher education: the use of multimedia in lectures and seminars turns them into a creative process, allows to implement the principles of developmental learning, form and develop cognitive motivation of cadets to acquire new knowledge for the successful activity of each cadet in the classroom, significantly improves clarity in the organization of the group studying. The use of multimedia presentations helps to bring the effect of additional clarity in the classroom, which helps students learn the material faster and more. In general, the use of a multimedia projector in the classroom raises the learning process to a qualitatively new level, significantly improves the quality of cadets’ knowledge and the intensity of their educational activities. |
