LC/MS studies using conventional and microbore LC columns with interfaces of the moving belt and direct liquid introduction type are discussed in terms of the systems ability to handle LC mobile phases, thermally labile and/or low volatility compounds and maintain chromatographic performance. The relative merits of MS/MS and LC/MS in studying complex mixtures are discussed. |
