Palliative care in the Palestinian community is still a future dream. Suffering and pain, for cancer patients especially, is the predominant status for patients at home. This chapter explores some evidence of a nucleus of hope for initiating palliative care in the country. It introduces the latest endeavors and progress toward palliative care in general and explains the current situation, data, needs, and attitudes. Community involvement and infrastructural resources will be explored, along with difficulties in situ and possible solutions for better integration of palliative care. |
