Popis: The following article presents the temporal variations in area and volume of the Grey, Tyndall, and Dickson glaciers, located at the southeastern end of the Southern Ice Field (CHS), Torres del Paine National Park (PNTP), Chilean Patagonia, between 1998 and 2017. The variations were estimated by the combination of multispectral satellite images from Landsat 5, 7 and 8 and digital terrain models (SRTM, ASTER GDEM V2, and WorldDEM). Significant retreat experienced by the three glaciers in the last two decades, confirming the negative tendencies of most of the Patagonian glaciers, was identified. The acceleration of the retreat of the glaciers is linked to an increase of the minimum mean temperature and a decrease in annual precipitation. Considering the current climate scenario, we conclude that glacier retreat will continuously increase.
