Popis:	α-(Dimethylamino)benzyllithium (1a) and its complexes, 1b–f, have been characterized by their solid-state 13C-NMR spectra. The spectra are comparable to those recorded in solution and can be used to reveal the structures of the different solvates of the title compound.
