An improved synchronization system for OFDM communications

Popis: The OFDM system was proposed to efficiently eliminate the multipath fading effects and impulse noise over the wireless channel. However, performance of the OFDM system is very sensitive to the synchronization errors at the receiver. The system performance is degraded dramatically by the carrier frequency and sampling clock offset. Therefore, the receiver systems require a fine synchronization system to gain better performance. Joint weighted least square (JWLS) algorithm gains interested in the synchronization with good estimating the carrier frequency and sampling clock offset. To improved the system performance, we modified JWLS algorithm and adopted a phase compensation interpolation to improve the system performance for the OFDM system. From the simulation results, it shows that the proposed algorithm can improve the systems performance.
