Popis: | Paediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome temporally associated with SARS-CoV-2 (PIMS-TS) is a recently detected syndrome whose criteria were first established in May 2020 (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health). The clinical course varies from mild to severe, life-threatening cases. This paper presents a case of an extremely severe course of PIMS with symptoms resembling Kawasaki syndrome in a previously healthy 13-year-old boy with obesity. A complication of the severe course of PIMS was the development of critical illness polyneuropathy in the patient. |
