This work is devoted to identifying signs of arc detection in the period of time from arc detection among the main contact persons to arc detection in the plates of the arc chute. Tasks that were solved during the study:1. Review of existing designs of automatic switches and principles and modes of their operation.2. Determination and analysis of the main physical processes occurring now of electric arc burning.3. The choice of design for the study was made. Development of a mathematical model of a circuit breaker.4. Simplifications necessary to optimize the modeling process have been made.5. The calculation model was implemented in the COMSOL Multiphysics software, through the internal interfaces of the program. Also, the implementation considered the movement of one of the contacts using the Moving Mesh interface. The obtained simulation results made it possible to analyze some of the physical processes that occur during the burning of an electric arc in the case of a DC automatic circuit breaker. Namely, a graph of changes in the electric potential, magnetic flux density, magnitude and direction of the Lorentz force acting on an electric arc, temperature changes due to the arc and heat removal. |
