Popis:	Measurements have been made over different regions in the city of Chandigarh (76°50'E and 30°45'N, one million inhabitants), India using the EDXRF technique. The receptor model, employing multivariate statistical techniques, was applied to the acquired data set of elemental concentrations in order to assess the impact of relevant sources at the various sampling sites. Possible sources identified from this analysis are soil dust, refuse burning, field burning, exhaust from automobiles and smelter activity.
