Popis: | According to the US Centers for Disease Control, Health disparities are preventable differences in the burden of disease, injury, violence, or opportunities to achieve optimal health experienced by socially disadvantaged populations and minority communities. COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on communities of color. Since 2020, communities of color in the US have experienced tremendous uncertainty, fear, and anger concerning trustworthy information about the origins, treatments, and prevention methods regarding COVID-19. This paper explores diversity and inclusion and its connection to health disparities through the kaleidoscope of COVID-19 and through the use of health theories and education solutions developed from the literature. |
