Popis:	We compare and contrast the results obtained in a hydrodynamical calculation and in the TDHF calculations of Bonche, Koonin and Negele for the collision of two slabs of nuclear matter. The responses to the emergence of the “shock fronts” and the fusion probabilities are found to be quite different in the two calculations.
