Popis:	Evidence is presented to show the difficulty in getting pure α-phase plutonium and that few experimentalists have made physical property measurements on it. Repeated cycling within the temperature range between 298 K and 373 K, where the diffusion controlled β → α-phase transformation takes place, appears to be one way of producing pure α-Pu.
