Popis: | The influence of constant and transient radiant flux on the burning rate of solid propellants is considered. The validity of the equivalence principle for the radiant flux and increase in initial temperature and also the problem of possible photochemical effect of thermal radiation are discussed. Experimental data on burning rate response to periodical perturbations of radiant flux for different types of solid propellants are reported. The problem of correlation between burning rate response to perturbations of pressure and external radiation is considered. Formulation of the problem on transient combustion in terms of the Zeldovich- Novozhilov phenomenological approach is described and the results of numerical integration are presented. |
