| Popis: | An attempt to rediscover the original medieval infilling deposits within a medieval drain was undertaken in July 2015. The excavations carried out in the 1980's by Richard Lewis identified waterlogged deposits at the base of a drain in the reredorter, built in the 11th century. These were then sealed behind a retaining wall. It was hoped to reveal these deposits but the access to the deposits was prevented by large amounts of rubble in a confined space. |
