Popis: The article evaluates British work on unmanned aircraft and guided missiles in the interwar years. It emphasizes radio control from the ground or from a parent plane in the air. Britain’s relative failure in this field compared to Germany reflected a lack of financial support combined with consistent overestimating of conventional bombing’s accuracy on the part of both RAF officers and civilian scientists.
