Popis: | A novel sampler has been designed to collect biological aerosols in a manner which mimics the mammalian lung. Breathing patters are adjustable within the human range. The sampler is divided into parts resembling the upper respiratory tract and pulmonary area. In tests with bacterial aerosols, capture was 100% and deposition showed separation related to particle size and airflow velocity. Recovery of viable bacteria appeared superior to that obtained with an impinger. |
