Popis: | X-ray amorphous hydrated chromium oxides of variable compositions have been obtained, with the total number of water moles in them being 4.0–4.9 depending on the conditions of precipitation and aging. It has been established that, along with the structural water contained in the form of OH groups, strongly bound hydration water molecules are present that are eliminated in a temperature range of 60–300°C. Electrorheological activity of suspensions based on partly dehydrated chromium oxides has been studied. The electrorheological effect increases with the number of water moles in a dispersed oxide and suspension temperature. |
