Popis:	Evaluation of cytokine expression is becoming an increasingly useful approach for defining cell-mediated immunity. The interest in characterizing the role of these important molecules in a wide range of clinical conditions has provided impetus to develop new methods to assess cytokine expression in clinical samples. The whole blood flow cytometric procedure described in this report is compatible with both qualitative and quantitative analysis of cytokine expression in clinical samples and is potentially a useful method for evaluating the role of cytokines in disease pathogenesis.
