Popis:	Perthes’ disease of the hip is generally considered to be a local disorder of the femoral capital epiphysis, caused by occlusion of blood vessels. It is self-limiting with increasing age. Recent evidence suggests that Perthes’ disease is associated with more widespread disorders of growth and development (Burwell et al., 1978; Harrison and Burwell, 1981).
