Characteristic Study of Target Micro-motion Based on the Wavelet Analysis

Popis: The model of micro-Doppler is established including the target's precession and tumbling, and the uniform theoretical formula of micro-Doppler is derived in this paper. Combined with the ballistic simulation, radar echo data of target operating in space ballistic midcourse is obtained. The variance and information entropy of wavelet is calculated by using continuous wavelet transform. The difference between the precession and tumbling on different scales is analyzed. The high frequency component is separated from the RCS (Radar Cross Section) data of the precession and tumbling targets through multi-scale analysis of wavelet transform. Quartile is used for identification of the precession and tumbling targets, which receives good effect, and this index is proved to have some noise-resistance capability.
