We study the problem of determining the electron transfer parameters from the kinetics of luminescence quenching in solids. The region of quencher concentration is estimated in which the approximation of binary interactions (ABI) may be employed for data processing. It is shown that the obtained transfer parameters may be erroneous even though the data fitting error is less than the experimental one. Calculations of the luminescence kinetics employing direct modeling of the multi-particle donor-acceptor clusters are performed. It is shown on the basis of these calculations that the ABI for data processing gives a concentration dependence of the transfer parameters at high concentrations of quenchers. These apparent dependences are like real ones which may appear due to modification of the medium's energy level structure with growth of the quencher concentration. It is also shown that these apparent dependences are sensitive to the spatial structure of medium. |
