Popis: | This paper describes a concept of community policing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and analyses domestic and international efforts to implement community policing in this country. Furthermore, the paper is based on the interview results of 90 police officers of Canton Sarajevo, where findings indicate that officers are very much confused about the meaning of community policing. However, with the aim of refocusing the work of law enforcement agencies from traditional policing to community‐based policing, several practice‐oriented projects have been carried out by local and international actors and a Community Policing Strategy has been adopted as well. |
