Popis: | COVID-19, the disease caused by a new coronavirus, has quickly raised the world concern by spreading globally at an accelerated rate and is now a pandemic, according to the World Health Organization. But limited data are available for pregnant women with COVID-19 infection. The pregnant women present a unique challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic and several questions remain about pregnant women and their newborns. whether they will develop distinct symptoms from non-pregnant adults and whether COVID-19 could spread vertically pose risks to the fetus and neonate. Information on adverse pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with COVID-19 is lacking. Previous reports on pregnant women with SARS and MERS show higher case fatality rate, while, COVID-19 appears less-lethal Compared with SARS and MERS,In this study we aim to highlight COVID-19 infection during pregnancy, bringing together the various factors integral to the understanding of clinical manifestations, diagnostic challenge and susceptibleness with the virus, intrauterine infection and maternal-fetal complications, therapeutic controversies |
