Hydrochemical studies of a group of sulfide salt lakes of the Stavropol Region were carried out. Indicators such as temperature, ionic composition, total dissolved solids (TDS), hardness of the brine, and the relation of sulphates and chlorides to total dissolved solids were determined. Data analysis showed that the chloride class of natural waters prevails in four of the studied water objects: Salt Lake (Medvezhenskoe), Salt Lake (Nizhnepetrovskoe), Salt Lake (Lushnikovskoe) and the eastern part of Lake Ptichie. The sulphate class of natural waters prevails in the western part of the Lake Ptichie and the Salt Lake (Aleksandrovsky District). The brine of the Salt Lakes (Medvezhenskoe and Ale-ksandrovskoe) belongs to the group of magnesium and sodium, and the other lakes - to the group of sodium. As the salinity of the brine increases, the lakes can be arranged in the following order: the eastern part of Lake Ptichie - the western part of Lake Ptichie - Salt Lake (Lushnikovskoe) - Salt Lake (Nizhnepetrovskoe) - Salt Lake (Aleksandrovsky District) - Salt Lake (Medvezhenskoe). The factors impact the hydrochemical characteristics of brine and lakes are considered. |
